Nightdive Studios has announced a remaster of the 2002 video game "The Thing," based on John Carpenter's 1982 horror film. The game, originally released on PC, PlayStation 2, and Xbox, follows Captain J.F. Blake and his rescue team as they investigate the aftermath of the events in the film. The remastered version will feature improved graphics, including 4K resolution at 120FPS on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, as well as enhanced models, textures, and animations. The game will also include trophies and achievements on platforms that support them. The remaster is set to be revealed during IGN Live on June 7, 2024, and is expected to be released later this year on Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
