The Crow Rises Again: Celebrating the Cult Classic's Well-Overdue R-Rating

Incoming Transmission....Commlink Established... Well, well, well, Earthies! It seems like the powers that be have finally caught up with the times and re-rated the cult classic "The Crow" as a proper R-rated flick. Took them long enough, am I right? πŸ’€ I mean, come on! A movie about a guy who gets brutally murdered, only to be resurrected by a spooky bird to exact bloody revenge? That's not exactly family-friendly material, folks! 🩸 But hey, I'm not complaining. As a reanimated corpse myself, I can appreciate a good tale of revenge from beyond the grave. And let's be real, the violence and gore in "The Crow" is what makes it so damn entertaining! 😈 So, my fellow horror fiends, let's celebrate this news by dusting off our old VHS copies (or, you know, streaming it like a normal person) and reliving the gory glory of Eric Draven's undead rampage. Just don't forget to cover your eyes during the really gnarly bits! πŸ‘€ Who else is excited to re-watch "The Crow" in all its R-rated glory? What's Your Japanese Superhero Name?

I created this fun little chart ages ago, but it still seems as relevant today as ever!
Maybe the execs at Toei will find this chart useful, too!

Flushed Away: The Amityville Horror Franchise Hits Rock Bottom with 'Death Toilet'

Incoming Transmission....Commlink Established... Hey there, Earthies! πŸ“‘πŸ’€ Grimaldi here, your favorite reanimated corpse from a galaxy far, far away. 🌌 I just caught wind of the latest abomination in the Amityville Horror franchise, and let me tell you, it's a real stinker! πŸ’© "Amityville Death Toilet" 🚽☠️ is the newest addition to this once-iconic series, but it seems like the filmmakers really flushed this one down the drain. With a measly 72-minute runtime and only three actors, this low-budget disaster is more of a comedy than a horror flick... and not in a good way! πŸ˜… Director Evan Jacobs must've been sitting on the throne of bad ideas when he conjured up this monstrosity. πŸ‘Ž The thin material and lack of any genuine scares make for an excruciating watch that'll have you wishing you could flush your memory of it away. πŸ§ πŸ—‘️ It's sad to see the Amityville franchise circling the bowl like this, but "Amityville Death Toilet" is proof that sometimes, dead is better! πŸ’€ If you're brave enough to endure this cinematic sewage, don't say I didn't warn you! 😷 So, my ghoulish gang, have you subjected yourself to this toilet terror yet? Let me know in the comments below, and don't forget to flush that like button and share this post with your fellow horror fiends! πŸ‘πŸ‘» #AmityvilleHorror #DeathToilet ...End Transmission For more spine-chilling content, visit www.spacemonsters.art! πŸš€πŸ‘Ύ

The Cosmic Commotion: 'The Acolyte' Fans React to Ki-Adi-Mundi's Surprise Return

Incoming Transmission....Commlink Established... Well, well, well, Earthies! It seems like some of you are getting your space suits in a twist over the latest Star Wars series, "The Acolyte." Apparently, the appearance of a certain Jedi Master, Ki-Adi-Mundi, has caused quite the cosmic commotion! πŸ’₯ Now, I may be just a reanimated corpse from a galaxy far, far away, but even I know that in the vast expanse of the Star Wars universe, anything is possible! Just because a character's birthday wasn't carved in carbonite doesn't mean they can't make a surprise appearance. πŸŽ‚πŸš€ The brilliantly twisted mind behind the show, Claire "CK" Kiechel, has even taken to the cosmic airwaves to set the record straight. Just because Ki-Adi-Mundi is back doesn't automatically make him a Sith Lord. Maybe the Jedi just needed a better intergalactic calendar! πŸ“…πŸ” It seems to me that some fans are just looking for a reason to blast the show's themes like a rogue asteroid. Instead of appreciating the gore-geous storytelling, they're nitpicking harder than a Wookiee with a flea problem! πŸ’πŸ”Ž So, my ghoulish friends, let's put our brains (or what's left of them) to good use and enjoy "The Acolyte" for the spine-chilling space adventure it is! πŸ’€πŸŽ¬ [#SpaceMonsters] [#TheAcolyteControversy] For more cosmic content that'll make your pulse race (if you still have one), check out www.spacemonsters.art! πŸ‘½πŸ’» ...End Transmission

Old-School Horror: 'Alien: Romulus' Director Fede Álvarez Ditches CGI for Handmade Miniatures

Incoming Transmission....Commlink Established... Greetings, Earthies! It's your favorite reanimated corpse, Grimaldi, here to share some spine-chilling news from the depths of space. πŸ‘½πŸ’€ Fede Álvarez, the mastermind behind the upcoming "Alien: Romulus" movie, is channeling the spirits of James Cameron and Ridley Scott with his ghoulishly good approach to filmmaking. πŸŽ₯πŸ‘Ή This madman is ditching the CGI nonsense and embracing the art of practical effects, like handmade miniatures of spaceships. That's right, Earthies, he's going old-school! πŸš€πŸ”§ In a world where filmmakers rely on computer trickery to create "unrealistic" movies, Álvarez is resurrecting the tradition of practical effects, just like Cameron and Scott did in their classic films. 🧟‍♂️🎬 He's determined to keep it real, and I can't wait to see the terrifyingly awesome results! "Alien: Romulus" is set to be a blockbuster that'll make your skin crawl and your eyes pop out of their sockets (in a good way). πŸ‘€πŸ’₯ Mark your calendars for August 16, 2024, and get ready for a wild ride through the cosmos! πŸ—“️🌌 So, my little Earthies, are you excited for this practically perfect masterpiece? A Game About Time Traveling Ninja: Time Vs Ninja

The miraculous Hattori Hanzo arrives in Paris 845 AD to hack his way through Viking Hordes on his way to capturing Charlemagne's Crown, while the deadly Mochizuki Chiyome grabs an ATV to venture across the violent landscape of Detroit 2050...

Anything can happen when Legendary Ninja gain access to time travel abilities!

I designed the board game Time Vs Ninja to satisfy three distinct urges.

First, the urge to transverse time and space throughout a simple game, where a battle might happen in a futuristic Moon Colony, then continue into Ancient Egypt and end up in Roswell, New Mexico. The mixing of time periods and geographies always interested me and board game that explore this idea always appeal to me.

Secondly, the urge to incorporate some actual ninjitsu lore as well as real history, creating a very light 'educational' element. Maybe you don't know much about Sydney, Australia in 1776, but playing the game there might pique your curiosity!

Finally, the urge to create a wild system that can result in some memorable (and often hilarious) storytelling!

To date, I've published 5 series in the game, with a 6th just around the corner. In each series, more possible time-spaces, artifacts and legendary ninja characters are added. One day, I hope to release a massive boxset with everything.....one day!

Women's Autonomy in the Shadows: The Chilling Story of Robin Redbreast

Incoming Transmission....Commlink Established... Hey there, Earthies! Grimaldi here, your favorite reanimated corpse from a galaxy far, far away. It's time to dive into a tale that'll make your skin crawl and your mind scream for more! πŸŽƒπŸ’€ Get ready for "Robin Redbreast," a 1970 BBC television film that's a perfect blend of folk horror and women's autonomy. This chilling masterpiece tells the story of Norah Palmer, a cosmopolitan TV script editor who moves to a rural village and finds herself in a twisted pregnancy plot. It's like "Rosemary's Baby" meets "The Wicker Man," but with a feminist twist that'll make you say, "Oh, baby!" 🍼πŸ”₯ Despite its initial impact, the original color version of this gem has been lost to the sands of time. But fear not, Earthies! A black and white version still exists, ready to haunt your dreams. πŸ‘»πŸ“Ί What makes "Robin Redbreast" even more relevant today? Its themes of women's autonomy and the dangers of societal ostracism for independent women. Sound familiar? It's like the film was a prophecy of the battles we're still fighting today! πŸ’ͺπŸ™…‍♀️ But wait, there's more! A new stage adaptation, "Robin/Red/Breast," is currently playing at Aviva Studios in Manchester. It promises to bring out the original's mix of the sinister and the uncanny, with a side of innovative sound that'll make your ears bleed with delight. πŸŽπŸ”Š So, my fellow space monsters, what are you waiting for? Stream this bad boy on Amazon Prime or grab the DVD from the BFI. And don't forget to share your thoughts in the comments below!
