As you know, we've been working on the most everything plus magazine out there - Space Monsters Magazine! 🎉 And, man, we're stoked to announce that we're going full out with a full first edition! 🎊 

But, before we get to the good stuff, we need your help! 🤝 We're calling on all you talented writers, artists, and horror/sci-fi enthusiasts to submit your work for our first edition! 📝 Submissions need to be in by February 15, 2025, at 11:59pm, so don't wait! ⏰

And, to make it even more exciting, we've got a special guest joining us - the one and only Bill Blair! 🎉 Bill is a Guinness World record holder in the category 'most special effect make-up characters portrayed in a career' and has worked on some of the most iconic TV shows and movies in the sci-fi and horror genres. He's sharing his expertise and behind-the-scenes stories with us, and we can't wait to dive in! 📺

But, that's not all! We've also got an amazing lineup of columnists joining the crew, including Greg Goodsell, Dennis Daniel, Don Farmer, Don Glut and Frank Dietz. 🤩 They'll be sharing their thoughts on the latest and greatest in horror and exploitation cinema, and we're stoked to have them on board! 🎬

Get Ready for Liftoff: Space Monsters Magazine Announces Bi-Annual Publication!

Greetings, Earthies! It's your favorite reanimated corpse, Grimaldi, here to bring you the most tubular news from the depths of Space Monsters Magazine! Our fearless Editor-in-Chief, Jason Brazeal, has just emerged from a meeting with the publisher, and the verdict is in: Space Monsters Magazine will be published TWICE a year!

That's right, folks! You'll be getting your fix of intergalactic horror, science fiction, and punk rock-infused goodness every six months. And what's in store for you? Well, let me tell you...

Each issue will be a digest-sized masterpiece, packed with articles from our regular columnists, as well as special guest authors. You'll get to feast your eyes on stunning photos accompanying those articles, and an 8-page comic extravaganza from some of the most talented guest artists in the galaxy!

And the best part? Each issue will be a whopping 96 pages long! That's a lot of cosmic carnage, if you ask me. And, for those who prefer to keep their Space Monsters digital, don't worry – we've got you covered with a digital version as well!

Now, here's the part where you come in, Earthies! We're calling for submissions for our first issue, which will be released in May/June 2025. Get those creative juices flowing and send your work to spacemonsterzmag@gmail.com by February 15th, 2025. And, if you're wondering about the possibility of an Ashcan Edition, let's just say it's looking more and more likely that we'll be going full-tilt with a full first edition instead.

We're thrilled to announce that the one and only Frank Dietz has joined the Space Monsters Magazine family! As an award-winning screenwriter, producer, director, actor, and animator, Frank has left an indelible mark on the world of horror and science fiction.

From his cult classic film days in ZOMBIE NIGHTMARE and BLACK ROSES to his work on iconic Disney films like HERCULES, TARZAN, and ATLANTIS - THE LOST EMPIRE, Frank's creative journey is a testament to his passion and dedication to the genre.

But that's not all! Frank has also written scripts for numerous independent features, produced acclaimed documentaries, and even joined the writing team for the hit AMC/Shudder series CREEPSHOW. And, in 2022, he was inducted into the Rondo Award Monster Kid Hall of Fame for his lifelong contributions to horror and science fiction fandom.

And now, Frank is bringing his expertise and enthusiasm to Space Monsters Magazine with his brand-new column, Sketchy Thoughts! In this column, Frank will share his insights, stories, and behind-the-scenes tales from his illustrious career, giving our readers a unique glimpse into the world of horror and science fiction.

Welcome Aboard, Dennis Daniel!

We are thrilled to announce that the inimitable Dennis Daniel has joined the Space Monsters Magazine team as a dedicated columnist! With a career spanning over 40 years, Dennis has made a name for himself as a multi-award winning creative force in radio, TV, and horror journalism.

Dennis's impressive resume boasts contributions to some of the most iconic horror publications, including DEEP RED, DELIRIUM, FANGORIA, FILM THREAT, FILMFAX, PSYCHOTRONIC MAGAZINE, THE COMICS JOURNAL, THE COMICS BUYER'S GUIDE, and SCREEM. His film reviews and critiques have also appeared in several omnibus publications, including THE DEEP RED HORROR HANDBOOK.

As a seasoned editor, Dennis has helmed THE FAMOUS MONSTERS CHRONICLES and contributed to FAMOUS MONSTER CHRONICLES II. He is also the editor and chief of CINEMA MACABRE magazine, and his latest book, THE HORROR! THE HORROR! A FILM FANATIC'S OBESSION WITH THE CINEMA OF THE MACABRE, was Rondo-nominated.

Dennis's expertise extends beyond the written word, as he has also appeared as an advisor and interviewer in the Roy Frumkes classic film documentary THE ULTIMATE DOCUMENT OF THE DEAD. He even made a cameo as a flesh-eating zombie in the 1990 remake of NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD!

As Senior Creative Director at Walter F. Cameron Advertising, Dennis has continued to excel in his Clio Award-winning writing, producing, directing, acting, and voice-over work for commercials.

New version of Jason Brazeal Debunks The Patterson Gimlin Bigfoot Film withhout the background noise which was present in the prior release, as well as further details. The Patterson Gimlin Bigfoot Film is debunked by the film itself. 

The purpose of this film isn't to convince anyone that the film is hoax. It is merely to point out that the film IS a hoax and to demonstrate the myriad of ways in which the film itself proves what it is, a hoax. 

I created this version for film students, practical makeup FX practitioners and other professionals in the film industry to demonstrate the techniques used in identifying the subjects in suit deployments and practical makeup FX practices ranging from the early 1950's and spanning into the late 1990's and beyond. 

These fundamental techniques can be used by film students, and makeup professionals alike, along with other interested parties, in the identification  of makeup and suit techniques that have been used and how a simple and shoddily created piece of footage, such as this; and a suit of this low caliber can easily fool an uneducated populace. This demonstrates that even with such low grade materials, and work, any individual can easily fool others. Take this knowledge and use it in your professional FX artist, and filmmaking arsenal to better your skills, and to easily recognize the creation of even highly controversial illusions such as this.

A Legendary Voice Joins Our Ranks: Welcome Don Farmer to Space Monsters Magazine!

We're thrilled to announce that the one and only Don Farmer is joining the Space Monsters Magazine family! As one of our new columnists, Don will be sharing his wealth of knowledge and nostalgia in his dedicated column, "I Like What I Like". 

With a lifetime of experience in the film industry, Don has written for some of the most iconic horror and sci-fi publications, including Fangoria, Deep Red, and L'Ecan Fantastique. He's also edited his own zine, The Splatter Times, and has written and directed over 30 horror and sci-fi movies, including Shark Exorcist, Scream Dream, Vampire Cop, and many more!

But that's not all - Don has also made appearances on VH1 reality TV shows, including Dr. Gangrene, The Soup (on the E! Channel), and the CBS Morning Show. We're honored to have him on board and can't wait to see what he has in store for us.

Donald F Glut joins Space Monsters Magazine with dedicated fan question column

We are thrilled to announce significant advancements at Space Monsters Magazine over the past few weeks. Our talented artist, Simon Pritchard, has rejoined our team, and we have some exciting news to share about our dedicated columns moving forward.

In fact, we have three new columns to look forward to, featuring an all-star lineup of horror and entertainment journalism experts. This truly is an A-Team of writers, and we are honored to have them on board.

First up, we are delighted to announce that renowned writer and filmmaker Donald F Glut will have his own dedicated column, "Ask Don Glut Anything!" For those unfamiliar with Don's impressive credentials, he has been involved in a wide range of projects, including The Monkees, Star Wars (he wrote the novelization of The Empire Strikes Back), Vampirella, Transformers, Spider-Man, Tarzan, and many more. He continues to work on exciting projects to this day, including titles published by Rich Sala at Warrant Publishing Company, such as Shudder and Vampiress Carmilla (which you should check out because they're awesome).

Don's column will be a write-in feature, where readers can submit questions and receive answers from Don himself. To participate, simply email your questions to spacemonsterzmag@gmail.com, and be sure to include "Ask Don Glut Anything" in the subject line. Your questions may be published in Space Monsters Magazine, which is available in both print and digital formats.

Please note that there are a few guidelines to keep in mind. Don will not discuss Star Wars, Masters of the Universe, sex, politics, or religion in his column. Instead, all other topics are fair game.
